If you decide to arrive earlier, you will have to make your own arrangement for travelling to Trier. We recommend to take the train.
Trains from Frankfurt Main Airport depart every full hour and take about three hours. Estimate €45 per person for a 2nd class ticket. Train-specific, lower priced tickets might be available. You will find detailed information on www.bahn.com, the national carrier’s website. Look for a connection between ‘Frankfurt(M)Flughafen’ and ‘Trier Hbf’.
Getting there by car
If you intend to travel to Trier by car, we will provide detailed information for you to find the hotel easily. We will also try to welcome you in person at the hotel. Alternatively we will leave latest information with the receptionist.
To park your car during the week, you can choose between up to three options: You may park at Trier’s Park&Ride stations, just outside the city. This service comes free of charge. Alternatively, multi-storey car parks offer seasonal tickets where you park for a weekly rate of about € 45 (GBP 40). Last but not least, our hotel might offer a place in their underground car park. If available, this will cost about € 35 (GBP 30).
Getting there by train (from UK)
There are several train connections from London St. Pancras station every day. The journey includes the Eurostar and takes about six to eight hours one way (seven to nine hours for the return journey from Koblenz). To gather information about the most suitable connection, we recommend using www.bahn.com. Tickets for the Eurostar trains will be available on Voyages Sncf.
