You possibly prefer something more gentle. Have a look at our Moselle Valley cycle tours and Danube II trips. Alternatively, consider going on any of our other cycling holidays with an e-bike. In any case, our tour guides will make sure you enjoy every minute of your cycling holidays.
As we cycle in a group most of the time, no one gets left behind. Our cycling tour guide choses a pace that every cyclist in the group is capable of. Occasionally, where you barely can get lost, you will be offered to break away from the group and told where to reunite again. Consider following cycle tours to unveil cycling holidays to your partner:
- The Danube from Passau to Vienna and
- Along the vineyards of the Moselle Valley.
In case your partner is worried about the daily distance, we recommend getting her or him an e-bike. An e-bike will make cycling easier and more enjoyable towards the end of the day.
Of course, the routes we take on our cycle tours are safe for cyclists of all abilities.
You will find this delicacy all across Germany and Austria from the beginning of the cycling season to the end of June (shortly after June 24, to be precise). The asparagus here comes pale with a diameter of up to one inch. On the menus you find it with the starters (often as an asparagus cream soup) and the main dishes (usually served with boiled potatoes, hollandaise sauce and ham or fish). --> Our guided cycling holidays in May and June

Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Grüner Veltliner .. never heard before? This is your chance to taste new varieties and change your stereotype of sweet German wine. Too much Liebfrauenmilch you had!
Discover bone dry wines (or semi dry ones if you fancy) on our guided cycling holidays along the Moselle (Riesling grape, amongst others), in the Wachau Valley in Austria (Grüner Veltliner grape) and even on the Elbe River in Eastern Germany (Goldriesling and Müller-Thurgau grape). And as the climate is changing, you might also find a decent red along the way.

Following cycling holidays take you to world heritage sites in Germany and Austria:
- Danube I: The Roman Limes - fortified frontier of the Roman Empire for centuries; old town of Regensburg with buildings dating back to the 11th century (not mentioning the remains of the Roman period in town)
- Moselle Valley: Roman Monuments, Cathedral of St. Peter and Church of Our Lady in Trier; find the upper middle Rhine valley at your fingertips in Koblenz
- Elbe River: Luther Memorials in Wittenberg; Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Worlitz; additional sites in and near Berlin - one more reason to extend your holidays pre or post tour in Berlin
- Passau to Vienna (along the Danube): Palace and Gardens of Schonbrunn; Wachau Cultural Landscape; historic centre of Vienna
- Romantic Road: Würzburg Residenz Palace and Court Gardens
You have to see Dinkelsbühl and Rothenburg on our Romantic Road cycle tour: Preserved mediaeval architecture at its best. On our Danube I cycling holidays you discover the fabulous history of the oldest bridge across the Danube that is still in use. And last but not least: Learn about a tradition that started in 1634 and couldn't be more lively than today - the Passion Play of Oberammergau. We visit the theatre, meet one of the actors and look behind the stage on our Bavarian Lakes cycling holidays.
Go for the Elbe River cycle tour from Wittenberg to Dresden. You will be able to discover what was hidden behind the iron curtain for many decades.
We recommend to extend your stay in Berlin and/or Dresden, where you are able to deepen your insight by driving an East German car and by taking day trips to Prague, Leipzig and former POW camp at Colditz Castle.
On our Danube II cycle tours and in the Moselle Valley you have more spare time as on the other tours. This gives you plenty of options to get in contact with the locals: Order a piece of cake at a bakery, go inside a shop and talk to the staff or simply ask a native for the time or the way.
In any case, all guided walks on our tours are lead by locals. The guide will be happy to answer your questions in German if you ask in German.
While being able to provide e-bikes on all our guided cycling holidays, if so, our guests enquire them predominantly on following tours: Danube 1, Austrian Danube, Bavarian Lakes and Elbe River. Please tell us with the booking that you want an e-bike upgrade. The number of electric bicycles is limited. (You find detailled information about the e-bikes on our guided cycling holidays <here>.)
Quite frankly, you will be able to recuperate from daily grind on any of our guided cycling holidays in Germany and Austria.

Excellent idea! Please contact us and let's see what cycle route suits your friends most. Depending on the number of cyclists we will propose to either join one of our regular departure dates or to organise a bespoke cycle tour for you and your friends only.
By the way: If you approach us before the dates of the next season are set, we might be able to incorporate your preferred departure date into our public schedule.
If you did not find what you were looking for, please contact us and tell us what it is exactly. We will have a look together and see if one of our guided cycling holidays suits you.
