Approximately 95% of the paths are dedicated cycle paths, open to cyclists and walkers only. They often follow the route of the river directly and so are very flat. Once in a while we have to take public back roads. We only do so when absolutely necessary and when they are quiet and safe. The safety of our guests is always our first priority.
The surface of the cycle paths usually consists of tarmac. The paths may also be covered in gravel (or, in many cases, sand), should we prefer to take causeways along the rivers. Generally the chosen bike paths provide a pleasant and relaxing cycling experience.
